When this warranty applies
This limited warranty is offered by Buy Engines LLC of Scranton, Pennsylvania, for engines expressly sold with this written warranty. The covered engine, warranty duration and coverage start date must be identified in the invoice or written sales agreement provided before purchase. Ask our team to confirm these details before completing your purchase.
02 / COVERAGE
Block, crankshaft & cylinder head only
Subject to the written terms of your purchase, this limited warranty covers defects in the engine block, crankshaft and cylinder head during the stated warranty period. Coverage is limited to these three components. Other components, accessories and attached systems are not covered under this limited warranty unless expressly included in a separate written agreement.
03 / INSPECTION & RETURN
We reserve the right to inspect
Buy Engines LLC reserves the right to inspect and test the engine to evaluate a warranty claim, including requiring the engine to be returned to our designated facility before a remedy is authorized. Contact us for return instructions before shipping an engine.
The buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation to and from the inspection facility, including return freight, packaging, loading, unloading and related handling costs. Buy Engines LLC does not pay or reimburse these costs under this limited warranty, including when a claim is approved, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
04 / WARRANTY REMEDY
Repair, replacement or store credit — our choice
If inspection establishes a covered defect during the warranty period, Buy Engines LLC will, at its option, repair the covered defect, replace the engine or issue store credit equal to the purchase price paid for the engine. Store credit may be applied toward purchases from Buy Engines LLC and is not redeemable for cash, except where required by applicable law. The credit does not include excluded costs described below. These are the exclusive remedies under this limited warranty to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this provision limits any refund or other remedy required by applicable law.
Buy Engines LLC must have a reasonable opportunity to inspect the engine and provide the selected remedy. Contact us before authorizing repairs for which you intend to seek warranty reimbursement. Third-party work is not reimbursable unless Buy Engines LLC has expressly authorized that expense in writing.
05 / EXCLUDED COSTS
Engine coverage. No additional expenses.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Buy Engines LLC does not pay or reimburse costs outside its selected engine warranty remedy, including:
- Engine removal, installation or reinstallation labor.
- Outside labor, diagnostic charges, shop fees or third-party repairs not expressly authorized in writing.
- Shipping, freight, transportation, towing, packaging or handling.
- Loss of use, downtime, rental vehicles, rental equipment or substitute machinery.
- Lost income, lost profits, business interruption or other incidental or consequential expenses associated with an engine problem.
- Repairs or replacement of components outside the covered engine block, crankshaft and cylinder head.

How to request warranty service
Notify Buy Engines LLC promptly after discovering a suspected covered defect during your warranty period. Include your name, contact information, invoice or order number, purchase date, engine model and serial number, a description of the problem, and available photographs or diagnostic information.
Our team will review your information and provide inspection and return instructions where needed. Submitting an inquiry or accepting an engine for inspection does not, by itself, confirm warranty coverage.

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so those limitations may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes rights, remedies, implied warranties or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Applicable law controls where it requires a different result.
